LC Camping
The Long Cane Ranger District offers camping at four different campgrounds across the district:
- Fell Camp
- Lick Fork Lake Recreation Area
- Morrow Bridge and Midway Seasonal Camps
- Parsons Mountain Recreation Area
In addition, the Long Cane Ranger District also offers dispersed camping across the district. Dispersed camping is primitive camping (like backpack camping or canoe camping) that occurs outside of developed campgrounds and within the general forest. RV and car camping are not allowed as dispersed camping. Camps should be at least 50 feet from water and trails, and ½ mile from any road or parking lot. A dispersed camping permit is required for any camping outside of any designated campground on the Long Cane Ranger District.
Dispersed Camping Online Permit - can take up to 24 to 48 hours for processing. Submit by Thursday for timely processing.
